No Air port card installed : Solution

Today all of a sudden my internet was not working and the airport was not turning on. The only thing i could think of is restarting my mac.  BTW I have a Mac book Pro with 2.3 Ghz intel core i5 processor.
After the successful restart, it said "No Air port card installed". I was without internet for about 20 minutes.

I started getting a feeling, i was stranded on an island with no means of communication and stuff. I do not understand where and why and how that creepy feeling came across!! Gosh we are all too addicted to internet !!

Anyways, referred few online forums and wat i did to solve this was:

  • Shut down your computer.
  • After its completely off, press "command", "option","p","r", power button all together.
  • Keep your fingers on them till you hear the start-up tone thrice.
  • Once it starts up the air port should be all fine.
I was all set to contact my mac-geek friend for help but not bad could figure it out myself.

Thanks for reading!

C code 2!!

what is the output of

for(;0;)
printf("\n guess!!");

Answer: guess!!
Its because..a for loop will always do the initialization first and executes the loop's body...ONLY after executing the loops body once,it will check for the condition..
So..in this case ...it executes loop's body once..then it finds 0(ie .false) ,hence it quits but instead of 0,any other number is considered true, hence executes infinite number of times...

Hillarious Days!

P.S: No offense to anyone in this world!

I realized, walking from home to my company which is located in 4th block wont help me reduce even few kilo's, so i decided to go to work by vehicle and continue brisk-walking in my park after i returned from work i.e. at 7:15! N i don't own the park yet its mine :) These days people are so health conscious, hmm i guess along with me you can find at least a minimum 10 more health freaks in the park, excluding the pairs. Now i could tell my not-so-worried-about-this mother but my frenzied grandma that it was safe walking in the park at this hour!

Day 1:i.e. march 1st or so.
Today being the last day i was walking back from office decided to eat bhel on the way. BTW i cross 4 parks on the way from my work place to home. One being my-park and the other park where i brought bhel and 2 more were spare parks :P, i just walk by their side!
I happened to see one pair a lil' cozy and this strange thought of "why not count the number of pairs today??" popped up... Aaaand the count that day was 23 pairs in a 20 minute walk! I saw 3 pairs snogging too. Such a sight is  pretty common these days and moreover it was  7 , so it was pretty dark.  I saw one woman in Burkha too. She seemed an invisible woman who could be identified only when the vehicle lights shone on her. Wierd! I donno why but i don't like parks.

Lesson learnt: Burkha becomes an invisibility cloak after 7!

Day 2: i.e. today :P
Work too was good today! I think my pace in finding the required function in that huge project has increased to a certain extent. But my inability to remember what functions i created and where i made the last changes still continues to give me the feeling of an idiot!
I was tired from work but decided not to stop this walking routine. With my ipod, i was walking and in the first round i observed there were many pairs today. The second round i noticed that not even one seat was empty in one half of the park. I don remember exactly how many seats are there in that half-side of the park but it was some what like the one i have "paint"ed! At the start of the third round, my ipod charge got exhausted. When this happens i usually return home, but today felt like walking as i was bored to return home. I didn't remove the earphones, so that meant i could listen to the outside world, but they thought i was listening to music and fidgeting with my mobile simultaneously. I already had thought of blogging about this and was errr hmm was takin down notes.
  1. A woman on phone: "....Ahh. Manege bandidira.....?? Dose thandra..??...."
  2. A pair, both were in 30's: ".....I donno what made him do that.. Thats why i yelled i guess.." {stong discussion. }
  3. A man was on phone: "....Naan avaginda kaytha-idini ningoskara....."
  4. Two grandpa's : ".....Jeevana hinge...." :)
  5. A couple who were in 20's: They were having this romantic talk i guess, sort of both were blushing kinds and talking softly {sensible!}
  6. A pair: They were up to something. I couldn't see much. I guess they were snogging.
  7. A elderly looking man and pretty young girl: "...Nahi, mujhe achcha nahi lagtha..."
  8. 2 gals were talking: ".......Nan maathu kelu Avnu beda...."
  9. Empty seat. i stopped and looked at the metro construction and it was illuminated very well, so thought of taking a pic but one pair came hand in hand and sat right there in front of me, so had to leave immediately.
  10. One husband and wife: ....hmmm.....{silence}

Weird day.. yet the best was i saw a grandpa and grandma holding hand and crossing the road! Such a cute sight!

P.S: Yes i was jobless n that's why "paint"ed the pic of my park! :)

Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara! = Remix (Mile Sur Mera Tumhara)

Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara....
Toh Sur Bane Hamara!

A very nice song to hear on Republic Day! Awesome spirit and feeling it gives! Very well composed! Musically its amazin! Humming it since morning! A good effort from Sudernath to recreate it, but ain't that very pleased to see the 16 minute video!! :-X Initially i thought only i was feeling so, but so many along with me prefer the old version! I watched Zoom for like almost 2 hours today and hence this post :P
  1. Why the hell isn't APJ Abdul Kalam in the video?? No one like him!
  2. The finger keyboard is amazing! Hats off to Rehman!
  3. Beginning this with Amitabh was not a good idea to me {India's first family i believe! Bull!}, but the location {Taj hotel} is perfect!
  4. The idea of casting singers and musicians and sportsmen is very good! But Lata, Asha, SPB, Sachin and Vishwanath Anand and Sania Mirza and many more are missing. Also the sportsmen are seen for fractions of seconds and its towards the ennnnding! Thats bad!
  5. Why are so many bollywood stars in it?? It gives the feelin of a "mini bollywood movie".
  6. No comman man at all!
  7. Deepika Padukone, Ranbir, Shahid, Karan aren apt for it at all! {Deepika's attire is outrageous!}
  8. Shilpa Shetty, Priyanka, Juhi are experienced actress but Sridevi/Madhuri/Kajol would have been a better choice i guess!
  9. As far as my knowledge goes Rituperno Senguptha isn't a "deserving" actress for this song!
  10. The regional languages need to be casted with better and experienced actors/actress and in better locations. {BTW the telugu lyrics are pretty good.} I also doubt about all languages being in it! I remember Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada,Marathi, Gujarati,Bengali... n that's it!
  11. Why is only Bharathnatyam included?? {Gr8 job by Shobana} What about Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Odissi, Manipuri??
  12. God! Whats Shiamak Davar doing in this?? Why not some one from military, army, navy or air force instead??
  13. "All the 3 Khans have united for the cause of the nation, keeping their differences apart" Aarthi said! what shit! Salmaan's act was good enough{But why in "baniyan"??} but SRK was some romantic hero kinds and Aamir's was like the khandala song. One Single Frame with ALL these bollywood stars would have sufficed!
  14. If am not wrong they haven't depicted Assam and Arunachal Pradesh at all!
Hmm... the old one was more inspiring! Still i liked the song! Coz it gave me goose bumps! :)

Happy Republic day all of u! Pics-not-to-be-missed-on-Repulic-day!

Aall Iz Well!

I never thought i would continues this label "movies". But this is one amazing movie i watched! " 3 Idiots"! It has lil' hyped the concept of "All is well" but it gets totally neglected due to the plot and humor! There is drama{silencer alias Chatur Ramalingam}, action{Mona's pregnancy}, suspense{Rancho's past},comedy{the entire movie} and very lil' romance which is very good! I watched the movie 2 days before and now had a discussion with my cousin so few dialogues are still lingering in my mind.. He He

  • Aall Izz well!
  • Yeh "Kilo Byte" aur "Mega Byte"! Aur woh uski maa "Giga Byte". Ye.. Family "Bite" nahi Karthi!
  • Salaa Thu Uski Daanth thodega ya main thodu!
  • Padhne ke liye Sirf Ek uniform chahiye. Agar Pakde gaye tho.. uniform change, school change!
  • Sab unproductive kaam jaise Shaving karna, Nakhoon katne ke liye Virus Saade Saath Minute ka Power Nap letha hain!
  • Khujli ki roti!
  • Salaa million sperms se competition karke bahar aaya tho pithaji ka pehla shabdh tha "Mera Beta Engineer banega"!! Aur mera Fate seal kar diya!
  • Bhaindi Barah per Kilo.
  • Jahapanaa tussi great ho! Taufa kubool kar!
  • "Farhanitrate" and "Prerajulization".
  • "Saala kithna jooth boltha hain???
  • Apne is "Balatkari" purush ke hath mein apna "sthan" diye hain. Ab dekhiye.. ye Balathkar Pe Balathkar Kartha jayega!
  • Raju can you explain, how does an Induction Motor starts? Ofcourse yes sir, Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :P
  • Jao is ghadi ke liye kisi aur ki haath dhoond lo. Gadhee!
  • "Seedhe jao.. Signal Laal ho jayega! Saab gadi ruk jayenge...... {Don Remember the rest!}
  • Last But Not the least: Thuchuk Thuchuk!!
Oops ran out of them! Wat ever!! Wonderful movie! Don miss it! Keep Smiling! Aal Izz Well!

P.S: 5 point someone != 3 idiots but Chetan Bhagath feels so. Yes i agree the plot is derived from the book but the story isn't the same. His name has been mentioned in the movie and he must be happy for that! Total credit cannot be given to him. Thats obvious once you see the movie, after reading the book! :P

Reviews on "Pathi pathni aur Woh...!"

A literal copy/imitation/replica/parody of "Baby Borrowers", this show "Pathi Pathni Aur Woh.." is one among the usual pointless reality shows i thought. But one lousy Sunday afternoon, i watched it for like 3+ hours continuously. Surprisingly, I found it nice. Yaa, it had kids in them, that's the only reason i guess why i was hooked on to it for such a long time. It was nice, in fact very nice to watch. Cho cute the kids were and how naughty.

It was actually weird that they were actually away from their own parents and they got so familiar and intimate with their "new" parents। And they got so used to these "new" parents that, they were not ready to leave them i found THAT very strange! May be these kids were taught at home saying " देखो बच्चे, ये लोग नयी मम्मी पप्पा हैं. अच्चे से रहना हैं. थांग नहीं करना हैं। तुम्हे जो जो चाहिए, उनसे पूछो वोह खरीदेंगे, मोटर कार, बार्बी सेट, टेडी बेर स........बी दिवाल्देंगे। " he he! Coming to the kids, they were very smart n well trained too. They did trouble the parents to a certain extent, but it was fun watchin them bond with the "new" parents.

I am actually watching the show for the first time. I came across this couple, Gurmeet and Debina. I was constantly feeling i have seen them on some other show. But i never figured it out till they showed a clipping of the show/serial they were in. They were the Shri Ram and Sita of the Ramayan series, which my grandma used to watch. It wasn that funny, but i couldn't hold my laughter. The Ram and Sita, actually fell in love with each other on-screen and off-screen :P. Long live Shri Ram n Sita Maiyya!

Basically, the show's TRP is high only because of the infamously famous Rakhi Sawanth. But in that 3 hrs, i actually changed my opinion on her. Lets say i used to hate her 100%. now i can say i hate her, may be 80%. She has a bad tongue yes, but she did take care of the kids given to her pretty well. She couldn't handle infants at all, but for lil' elder ones she acted like a good mother. She managed to ingrain a little respect and cleanliness into the child. I never never expected it from her of all the woman there. She n Eilesh are a funny pair i must say. They fought pretty much and they were quite intimate with each other too. Don't know how they broke up, this itself proves that the show "Rakhi ka Swayamvar" was a spoof! And now "Rahul Mahajan ka Swayamvar"... an extension of the same dupery. I don't want to say anymore on this topic, else i might start swearing also! :P

Cheers!

Which EYE??

Take a camera, open the shutter, look into the viewfinder, focus on the object for 1 or 2 seconds and then CLICK! This is how i take a photo :) and is also the simplest way to take one... unless you have a very sophisticated camera!

Now the question is, when you are clicking a picture in your camera, you look into the viewfinder through your right eye or your left eye??

I just happened to suddenly think of this. Am so used to clicking pictures with my left eye. I actually tried it with the right one too, but i couldn't. May be my left eye is dominant i thought. Moreover, i cant wink with my left eye, may be thats why i use it to take pictures. Also, i am a right-handed person so that means i use more of my left brain, meaning my right eye is the one which's more functional! Awesome! two contradicting thoughts.

Years before, had heard it from a doc, rather he taught me how to choose which eye is better..?? Hmm.. for that you need to keep both your eyes open at first,
  • Stretch your arm out and point your thumb to any far object;
  • Try to aim at it accurately;
  • Without moving your thumb;
  • Close your left eye and observe the distance between the thumb and the object.
  • Close your right eye and observe the distance between the thumb and the object.

The eye which your thumb got closest to the chosen object is your "best eye" :D And according to this my right eye is more sharp! Anyways i am not able to decide which eye of mine is sharper than the other.... atleast i hope it helped you decide!!

Innocence/Notoriety Examplified!

Kid1: Avva, i'll ask you a question. you must give me the answer you feel is right! ok??
My Mom: Go ahead!
Kid1: What is the proof that shruthi is your daughter??
My Mom:What the hell?? Who asked you this question??
Kid1:You answer na!
My Mom:Ok whats the proof that you are your mothers daughter??
Kid1: I dont know! It's our religion and i must follow it and believe it! Who knows what the truth is!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me:Hey sweetie, if you had a doggy, what would u name it??
Kid2:hmm.. shruthi doggy, would sound nice naa!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was conversing with my neighbor, who happens to be a mother of two naughty boys, one studying in 3rd and the other is just 1 1/2 years old.
She: I really don't know what these kids will grow up to be. Too pesky and annoying they are.
Kid3: Maaa, Tell me are you happy with a 5 lakh salary??
She:(puzzled) yaa of course
Kid3:Don't worry i'll earn so much in another 15 years.
She: HELLO! You should "study" for that. Else you cant get even a job and still you will be depending on me only.
Kid3:Don't worry about that, But one thing is for sure- you will always keep Cooking for me.
Me:Oh.. he likes your cooking is it?? good!
Kid3: Don't ask my wife to cook and all :P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mother: See your sister has got 2 stars in her book today and look at you u haven't any today!
Kid4 (just 2.5 yrs old): she forgot ma, she will give stars tomorrow!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A family of three are traveling in a Reva car, mother didn't allow the kid to sit in the front seat,
Kid5: Maa, its always dad in the drivers seat and you next to him and me behind right, That means in future, it'll be Me in the drivers seat, My wife next to me and i will put both of you behind!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kid6: Hey Sis, i don't get the point why you go to office??
Cousin Sis: If i don't go to office, then i wont hav money for your chocolates and biscuits :P
Kid6: My dad, just goes to that place {points out to an ATM} and gets money, why not you also do that??
Goo Green...!
Captain Planet!
He's the hero... Gonna take pollution down to zero..!
He's the power magnified... And fighting on the planet side..!
.
.
.
.
We are the Planeteers..... n you can be one too..!
Coz "Saving our Planet is the thing to do.."!
"The Power is Yours!"
Just happened to remember few lines of this song! Anyways, i was just wondering what "Go Green" meant and actually came up with quite a few things which GREEN could mean.
i. Vegetarian - Any product marked with a green dot is considered vegetarian and those marked with red is non veg!
ii. Vegetables - The greens refer to the vegetables.. especially the leafy vegetables!
iii. Natural - Given in abundance by nature!!
iv. Composting material - You can actually segregate the kitchen waste and compost the greens part and a make a small garden for yourself too!
v. Recyclable - If u compost it, that means u r literally recycling it!
vi. Eco-friendly - Environment fiendly and hence eco- friendly!
vii. Organic - My chemistry knowledge says, its those which contain Carbon!
viii. Renewable - Over some period of time, they are produced again!
ix. Reusable - Need not explain this i guess!
x. Biodegradable - Its biodegradable and hence you can compost it!
This was just a small information on greens as in food! But "go green" also implies saving water, fuel,electricity etc or in other words using it wisely! Thanks to YFS for making me think so much about environment! :P I have a feeling my next blog will be an environment oriented one too!!
DVC v/s A&D
This is the effect of watching angels and demons twice...!! Both the novels are one of the best i have read so far, but i am sort of more inclined to angels and demons for quite a few reasons! When i was watching the movie the second time, i was just trying to recollect and relate both the books!
1) The protagonist is the same Robert Langdon! A symbologist from Harvard!{ i had actually not realized this until a friend of mine told!}
2) Both books have the leading ladies as really talented and smart women, one being Sophie and the other being Vetra. I personally like the latter more, she seemed more confidant, sensible, spontaneous woman, especially after escaping with that piece of sheet from the archive!
3) There's a threat to the Roman Catholic church. That's the basic plot of both the books - Save Christianity!
4) The plots are such that there's a threat to "Religion" from "Science".
5) Both the books talk about a group of people believing in Science, and how responsible science is for the creation of Universe. One being Priory of Sion and the other being Illuminati!
6) In A&D though Camerlango is responsible for everything, but the role of the assasin is similar to the role of Silas in Da Vinci.
7) Both the novels begin with murders.
8) In a time span of 24 hrs the entire mystery is solved.
9) Sculptures and sculptures and sculptures is what both the books have! It was a pretty tough task to imagine while reading, but after watching the movie you will definitely feel like touring the Vatican City once in your lifetime!
This is all i know!! Its been ages since i have read the books. You are free to comment and express your views on this!
In the sense these questions are just cant-answer-now types! n Helloo! I know am done with engineering, but why don we engineers get some time.. to relax yar...!! Its recession time.. Understand na..! We will definitely think and come up with something.. after all its OUR future..!
Give them marks but keep Knowledge to urself is it??
My sincere apologies to teachers n educational institutions! I hav nothing against as such but just expressin my views,because this is what i guess the teachers these days are doing. So many young ones i meet get awesome marks and are rank holders but trust me a basic, easy question can KNOCK them out. Sometimes i feel "is she really in 8th" or "is he really in 10th"! I know they are smart,talented and intelligent{much more than wat we were i agree} but the problem is they hav so many temptations to look into and cater to. IF studies is not their cup of tea, then parents BETTER encourage them in the field they are interested in. But if they are interested in "education", please see to it that they do not mug-up stuff! What ever it is, a basic score is necessary to join any educational institute or do further studies so please see to it that they understand what they study!
And coming to teachers{with due respect to my teachers, its jus the agony of few kids n parents i spoke to recently to which made me write this} the new ones being employed are just not fit to be teachers. Trust me students are learning their fashion sense and lingo more than the "concept". I dont know on what basis they opt for such a proffession, but if the reason is just money or no- job-in-hand then please think about the life of these young children before joining! If, you arent good at teaching the respective subject or you dont know the subject in the worst case then please teach them to THINK atleast!
With the memory i hav and the bit of paper reading done in the past, just remember these articles-
*Maria montessori, after whom the term montessori comes, was a doctor, who was known for special, attractive teaching aids which she developed, the famous one being "post box". She used to encourage small children to think on their own and and understand the world they see.
*Once there was a teacher in gujurat who insisted the children to buy story books instead of text books. It turned out that these kids were more bright and sharp and had better grasping ability than the others. They even formed a library with own book collection.
Also if you happen to know some kids then do tell them to read these 2 books{the ones i was made to read in school, in the library hour :)}
1.Tottochan, about a little girl joining school and her experiences. Found it online, here's the link http://gieo.wordpress.com/2007/04/05/tottochan-the-little-girl-at-the-window/
2.The naughtiest girl in school series!
If you know anymore then please do suggest! If any of you agree to this and feel it makes sense then please do let me know! If you dont agree too then let me know!
